Ep.21 - Netflix, Dwyane Wade & Personal Venting
On Ep.21 of WG: Helen Mirren on Netflix, my ode to Dwyane Wade and some personal venting.
In a week where:
- Families at the Empire Cinema in Ipswich said their children were left in tears after seeing adverts for psychological horror Ma and scary superhero flick Brightburn.
- And a Blackhole picture is captured for the first time ever, labelled a "Breakthrough".
For the Film/TV segment, (2:05) Helen Mirren says "Fuck Netflix", pandering to Hollywood big wigs & US Theatre owners. The whole one-sided argument between Netflix & Hollywood is ludicrous. It's not a war on quality, it's a war of necessity. Hollywood got it all the way backwards.
For the Sports segment, (17:04) my first favourite NBA player, Dwyane Wade is retiring and I just wanted to give thanks and express why I am a fan of him, not just as a basketball player but as a person of note. Salute to the L3gend.
And for the Life segment (24:18) I just needed to keep it real and speak about what's been on my mind recently. From why I do the Podcast to what I fear and pursuing a passion vs being logical.
