In a week where:
- Martial Arts master Sonny Chiba dies aged 82.
- OnlyFans will cut off pornographic content in October.
- The Paralympics are underway.
- Extinction Rebellion begins a two-week wave of protests.
- Brian Travers, saxophonist & founding member of UB40, dies of cancer aged 62.
In Sports: (6:06) The Paralympics is underway and for Paralympic GB athletes specifically, they're gassed just to be in Tokyo.
In the 1st of two Life segments: (17:51) We've all made jokes about OnlyFans shooting themselves in the foot. But this recent decision is a big one for the sex workers that have staked their livelihood on the site.
In Film/TV: (34:17) A sharp report into diversity in UK acting has come out and on top of fresh statistics, there's a stark picture of the stereotypes that are still running rampant in casting decisions.
Lastly, in the 2nd Life segment: (49:30) I have recently been consuming some TV & Podcasts as I usually do. But two shows of differing formats & one Podcast episode has really got me thinking about activism again and what it means for my generation compared to the ones from decades ago that we still hold in such high regard.
