Ep.208 - Failure, Layoffs & Local Radio

On Ep.208 of WG: More World Cup talk, Silicon Valley layoffs, African/Caribbean Local Radio & early failure in creative journeys.
In a week where:
  1. Remembrance Day comes & goes.
  2. Cryptocurrency exchange FTX files for bankruptcy.
  3. Democrats retain control of the US Senate.
  4. A Russian missile kills two people in Poland.
  5. Trump announces he's running for President again in 2024.
In Sports: (8:37) With the Qatar World Cup days away, my last time talking about it will be about looking back and zoom out, instead of focusing on the upcoming.

In Tech: (27:28) Silicon Valley is having an exodus right now with many companies trimming their workforce. This gives me the perfect time to say that your employers don't care about you.

In Radio: (39:55) An underrated W that the BBC has held for decades is it's diversity in radio, especially when it came to local radio. But now, they decided to axe African/Caribbean Local Radio shows.

Lastly, in Arts: (52:54) Creative journeys are unique in so many ways but one ubiquity is that there will be successes and failures. But are all successes built off failure? It's maybe good for them to be.
