This episode I talk to Author & *Breathes In* the Associate Dean of Personnel and Curriculum and professor of history in the College of Liberal Arts at California State University Long Beach Dr. Donna J. Nicol to talk about her book "Black Woman On Board: Claudia Hampton, the California State University, and the Fight to Save Affirmative Action".

We get into her beginnings in Compton, California; her activist spirit instilled in her from her elders and use the book as a jump-off to talk about the Education system in our respective countries, the concept of "Sly Civility", why there are people in very high places in education who have 0 interest in improving education and - of course - her Top 5.
