On Ep.87 of WG: China squeezes Hong-Kong, The Washington Football Team have finally removed their racist name/logo, we now know the numbers for Black British History referenced in GCSEs & DJ Akademiks is the worst entity in American music culture.
In a week where:
- Manchester City will play in the Champions League next season after club’s two-year ban from European football was overturned.
- As Lewis Hamilton wins the Styrian GP & puts his fist up on the podium, he challenges other F1 teams to do more.
- The UK will ban Huawei from UKs 5G network and have all existing kits by 2027.
- Banksy returns with lockdown themed pieces on a tube train.
In the first of two Life segments: (9:27) China are starting to show muscle in Hong-Kong and introduce laws specifically aimed at people against the transition.
In Sports: (25:38) The Washington NFL Team have finally gotten rid of their racist team name and logo. But while this is a win, the bigger picture shows that money runs these decisions and not basic morals.
In the second Life segment: (37:00) We now know how often Black British History is mentioned in GCSE History. Spoiler alert, it's not great.
Lastly, in Music: (50:47) DJ Akademiks has been able to go from fledgeling YouTube bullshit-thrower to commentator on the culture at large and a fanbase that allows suburban white kids to enjoy Hip-Hop in the worst way: As a circus where they don't care about the human aspects of anything. Everything in and around Fuckademiks is wrong...
