In Life: (7:10) The passing of Chadwick Boseman evoked a lot of emotions for everyone. I used a wonderful write-up by Kelley Carter of The Undefeated to kick-start my thoughts on him.
In Film/TV: (32:01) The Daily (Social Distancing) Show has been bolstered in many ways by the pandemic. It's one of the few shows to thrive in it. And the risks outside gave way for some risks to be taken inside.
In Sports: (42:42) The Milwaukee Bucks triggered nationwide boycotts last week by refusing to play their Playoff game against the Orlando Magic in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake. It's worth thinking how far American sports stars of today are going, and how far they're willing to go...
Lastly, in Music: (56:52) Notting Hill Carnival is going online with a 3-day celebration and its relevance shouldn't be lost even though the event isn't taking place for the first time in its history.
